St Croix lodging - nice and great

All have air-conditioning, ceiling fans, telephones with data port, Cable TV, clock radios, mini-bar and front porch. You can have one king bed or two double beds or twins; foldaway cots are available on request. They do have wheelchair accessible rooms. You can request adjoining cottages for those who wish to be near traveling companions, or kids and adults can split up in two rooms. Tucked on 28 acres at the far reaches of St. Croix's north shore, Carambola Beach Resort at Davis Bay looks like everybody's dream of a Caribbean resort. Red roofs shelter spacious cottage-style rooms with terracotta tile floors, hammocks swing from trees at the sugar sand beach, and dark woods accent the rattan furnishings. Rocking chairs in every room look like they came straight from one of the old sugar plantations that thrived in St. Croix's agrarian heyday. Planter-style ceiling fans create a cooling breeze if you're a fresh air aficionado. Prefer air conditioning? Just flip the dial. Not all rooms are near the beach, although it's a quick stroll to the sand. The rooms come complete with telephone, television, coffee makers, hair dryers, iron, an ironing board, and a view of either the garden or the ocean. One room is wheel chair accessible. The second-floor rooms offer better views, a bit more privacy and feature higher ceilings. A screened porch in every one of the 150 rooms and spacious beachfront public patios provide perfect spots for entertaining the upscale guests you're likely to meet at this resort. The resort also has two suites, one of which served as a beach house for the Rockefeller family that built the resort. Sand Castle On The Beach Resort is a special place, situated on a gorgeous beach one-half mile east of Frederiksted. This unique hotel offers Gay, Lesbian Couples/Singles & Friends a warm and friendly, tropical home. The relaxed setting has attracted a loyal clientele since its inception over twenty-five years ago. Reserve ahead! Select the accommodations (19 rooms) to suit your budget and individual preference. Choose from the ocean views of the Luxury Beachfront Villas and Superior Deluxe Rooms to the Deluxe, Moderate Deluxe, or Moderate Rooms with partial views of either the ocean or garden or a Standard Hotel Room. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, overhead fans, cable TV/VCR, either full kitchens or kitchenettes, hair dryers, irons/boards and beach coolers. Additional amenities include two fresh water pools, beachfront bar patio with lounge chairs and tables, gas grills, beach towel service, seaside continential breakfast daily, self-service guest laundry, video/book library and housekeeping services, an on-site fitness center and massage/spa services!
