St Croix ferry - fast and nice
St Croix ferry is foranyone. If you're of an adventurous frame of mind, and have time to spare, you can revert to the mode of transportation that islanders used before the advent of air travel: St Croix ferry and the traditional mailboats.
Although fast, modern, air-conditioned St Croix ferry now make some of the trips, some of the more remote destinations are still served by slow, old-fashioned craft with few amenities. Within the $loc ferry, it has the most, and most comfortable, options for island-hopping, that offer food and beverages served by cabin attendants.

St Croix ferry advices
As with most things in the St Croix, schedules do change rather frequently; if you're planning to St Croix ferry back to an island check and double-check the departure times, and build in extra time in case the weather's bad.
St Croix ferry serve most of the major tourist destinations from St Croix. The ferry costs around $110 one-way, and takes about two hours each way.
Usually, the shorter-haul ferry makes several round-trips daily, and keep a more punctual schedule than the longer-haul ferry. |

St Croix ferry - a good transportation choice
Local ferries will depart the St. Thomas waterfront at 9:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Friday through Monday. The ferry will leave Gallows Bay, St. Croix, at 7:30 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. Friday through Monday. The trip takes about an hour and a half. Round-trip tickets run $90 for adults and $80 for children. One-way tickets are $51 for adults and $45 for children. Ferries operate from the British Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico to St Thomas and St John, but not to St Croix. To get to St Croix by ferry from St Thomas, see Getting around: By ferry, below. In the British Virgin Islands the main ferry terminal, West End Terminal, is located at Soper's Hole, West End on Tortola. Another terminal, the Road Town Jetty, is located in Road Town. On Virgin Gorda the Spanish Town Jetty ferry terminal is located at St Thomas Bay in Spanish Town. Note: When leaving the BVI, a departure tax of $5 is payable in addition to the fare. On Puerto Rico the ferry terminal is located in Fajardo. On St Croix ferry facilities are located at the Gallows Bay Dock in Christiansted. On St John they are located at the Loredon L Boynes Sr Dock in Cruz Bay. on St Thomas there are two ferry locations: the Edward Wilmoth Blyden IV Marine Terminal in Charlotte Amalie and the Red Hook Marine Facility in Red Hook on the eastern side of the island.
